Email deliverability

Your mailbox. A pace your domain can carry.

Sequenz sends campaigns through your own Gmail or Outlook over OAuth. Never from a shared platform address, so your sending reputation stays yours.

Sequenz is the AI SDR for B2B sales teams in Europe. Email is one of its channels, sent from the mailbox you already use.

Hi {{first_name}},

Running operations at a {{city}} team of your size usually means Monday goes on stitching numbers together. {{company}} has grown fast this year, so I suspect that report has too.

Lumen builds it for you from the tools you already use. Worth a 15-minute look?

Circuit-breakers

Sending pauses itself before a problem spreads.

If hard bounces or spam complaints spike on a mailbox, Sequenz pauses the campaigns sending from it and tells you why. A complaint spike suspends the mailbox too, until you review it.

1Automatic pause

A calm alert, not a 2am alarm.

Campaigns sending from that mailbox stop. Campaigns that do not use it keep sending. You review, fix the list and resume.

  • Auto-pause above 5% hard bounces or 0.1% spam complaints over 7 days.
  • Campaigns on other mailboxes keep sending.
  • The reason is shown in plain words.
2Bounce classification

Every bounce sorted as hard or soft.

A temporary blip never reads as a hard failure. And an out-of-office reply is kept apart: it is not a bounce, so it never counts against your mailbox.

Bounce types3 kinds
  1. 1Hard bounceAddress suppressed at once
  2. 2Soft bounceSuppressed after 3 in 14 days
  3. 3Auto-reply or out of officeKept separate · not a bounce
Sending hygiene

The unglamorous parts, handled.

Bad addresses, blocklists and unsubscribes quietly wreck a sending domain. Sequenz watches all of them on every campaign, with nothing for you to configure.

Bounce rate, spam-complaint rate and a health status for each mailbox are recalculated every hour, so a slide shows up here before it shows up in your reply rate.

How it works in detail

What happens when Sequenz sends a campaign email?

  1. It leaves from your own mailbox

You connect Gmail or Outlook over OAuth, and each campaign email is sent through that mailbox. A campaign with several mailboxes rotates between them, and a follow-up stays on the mailbox that started the conversation.

  2. The recipient is checked again

Just before an email goes out, Sequenz checks the address against your suppression list once more. Hard bounces, spam complaints and unsubscribes all land on that list, so an address that asked to stop is not emailed again.

  3. Two limits pace it

Each mailbox has a daily cap that fits its type: 50 for a personal Gmail or Outlook address, 150 for Google Workspace and 200 for Microsoft 365. By default each user also sends at most 200 emails a day across all mailboxes. When every mailbox is full, the rest wait until there is room.

  4. Bounces are read back

A hard bounce suppresses the address at once. Soft bounces suppress it after three separate sends to it bounce within 14 days. An out-of-office reply is never counted as a bounce.

  5. A spike pauses sending

Once a mailbox has sent 50 emails in 7 days, its rates are checked after each bounce or complaint. Above 5% hard bounces, every campaign sending from it pauses. Above 0.1% spam complaints, the mailbox is suspended too, until you review it.

Questions, answered.

Does Sequenz send email from my own address?

Yes. Campaign email goes out through your own mailbox: Gmail or Outlook connected over OAuth, or another mailbox over IMAP and SMTP. It carries your address and builds your own reputation. Sequenz never sends campaigns from a shared platform address; its own email service sends only account notices.

How many emails a day can I send?

By default each user sends up to 200 campaign emails a day across all mailboxes. Each mailbox also has its own cap: 50 for a personal Gmail or Outlook address, 150 for Google Workspace and 200 for Microsoft 365. On a paid plan you can raise your cap to 500 after a clear confirmation.

What happens if my bounce rate spikes?

Once a mailbox has sent at least 50 emails in seven days, Sequenz watches its rates. If hard bounces pass 5%, every campaign sending from that mailbox pauses and you are told why. If spam complaints pass 0.1%, the mailbox is suspended as well until you review it.

Do I need to change my DNS settings?

Sequenz never edits your DNS. It checks your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records against live DNS and shows the exact records to publish when one is missing. Your sending domain is also checked against the Spamhaus blocklist every two hours.
